Joe is an expert in all current construction projects, and he was the listing agent of Bethany Forrest and Bethany Marina, The Curves in Fenwick, and a lead project agent at Kings Grant in Fenwick. In addition, Joe knows the provenance of every community on the beach and of a wealth of custom homes. In 1995 Joe brokered the sale of over 700 acres of prime property in North Bethany to the state of Delaware that has been preserved as wild parkland. This transaction changed the face of North Bethany and was instrumental in driving Bethany's values to today’s levels. Over the years Joe has served as Vice President of the Sussex County Association of Realtors, Chair of the Delaware Real Estate Commission, and Senior Vice President of the International Association of Real Estate License Law Officials.
He has been involved in the community and has been a board member of The Bethany Fenwick Chamber of Commerce, The Freeman Community Foundation, Lower Sussex Little League, and was Chair for many years of the Governor’s Council on Substance Abuse and Mental Health. Joe’s work in the Substance abuse, homelessness, and mental health community has been a lifelong passion for which he has been recognized, repeatedly. Joe is a retired sports official and spent years as a High School and College Baseball and softball umpire and soccer referee during and after his son was on the playing fields. He lives and breathes all things Delaware and loves to share our unique gem, the Diamond state.
